Albania's Minister of Defense, Pirro Vengu, has expressed his support for Sunday's protest held in The Hague, where justice was demanded for the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army who are being tried by the Special Court.

Through a Facebook post, Vengu said that judicial processes must be fair and impartial, emphasizing the importance of respecting the sacrifice of KLA fighters.

"Justice, justice, only justice, nothing more than justice and nothing other than justice, for Kosovo and its liberators," he wrote.

The protest in The Hague was held in solidarity with the former KLA leaders who are in detention, while demanding a fair and transparent trial for them.

Former Dutch ambassador to Kosovo, Robert Bosch, who served in Kosovo at the time the Special Court was established, said during his speech at the protest that he had been instructed by his government at the time to press for the establishment of this court.

Bosch told the protesters that he did not like this idea "because it seemed absurd to me that Serbs would not be tried by this court, but I did my job."

"I remember when I met Thaçi, he was worried. But I told him you don't have to worry because the trial is fair, you will be free due to lack of evidence," Bosch said.
