One person was injured after a gas cylinder allegedly exploded at the oxygen cylinder filling factory on the Kaçanik-Ferizaj highway, in the village of Nikaj, at around 11:40 today.

The news for the Telegraph was confirmed by the spokesperson of the Kosovo Police for the Ferizaj region, Kanun Veseli.


According to him, emergency medical services and the fire department were also notified, and they arrived at the scene.

"Today at around 11:40, we were notified that an explosion occurred near a fuel pump on the main road, Kaçanik - Ferizaj, in the village of Nikaj, suspected to be a gas cylinder. Emergency medical services and the fire department were also notified, and they arrived at the scene. In this case, one person was injured, while major material damage was caused to the oxygen cylinder filling factory," said Veseli.

Meanwhile, as Veseli said, the injured person, after first aid in Kaçanik, was taken to UCCK-Pristina.

"At the moment, police units and relevant teams are at the scene and are undertaking investigative and security actions to fully clarify the case. The state prosecutor has been notified of all police actions," Veseli said, among others.
