Is one of Audi's most attractive cars being withdrawn from the market?

Rumors are spreading that Audi has no plans to have a successor to the A7 Sportback model.

Despite the A7 being one of the most attractive four-door sedans or coupes, as you like, it seems that Audi is ready to stop producing this model. The new A6 will be released this summer, and it seems that this model will take the place of the A7.

Times are changing, and a few years ago, German premium carmakers, including Audi, were scrambling to fill every gap in their offerings. Classics like the Mercedes CLS are gone, the BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe is a thing of the past, and Volkswagen has retired the Arteon.

Now, it seems that the offer has been simplified, perhaps due to the previous expansion with separate electric models. Previously, the A5 Sportback was supposed to go away, as the new A4 model was renamed the A5.

The same was to happen with the A6, which was supposed to become the A7, but Audi recently decided to revert the designation to its previous name. Regardless, the A6 is a highly prized name in the world of limousines.

The A7 Sportback, which is based on the current generation (C8), could very well be discontinued, and the same could happen with the A7L version, which is offered in the Chinese market, according to Motor1.

Recall that the second generation of the Audi A7 was launched in 2018 and received a significant redesign in 2023. /Telegraph/
