The Basic Court in Peja - Department for Serious Crimes, has ordered a one-month detention order against Ismet Zukaj, suspected of the criminal offense of attempted aggravated murder and unauthorized possession of weapons.
According to the Court's announcement, the decision was made by the pre-trial judge Sh.C., after reviewing the request of the Basic Prosecution Office in Peja.
The suspect's detention begins from the date of arrest on January 13, 2026, at 00:17, and will last until February 12, 2026, at 16:00.
Ismet Zukaj is suspected of the criminal offense of attempted aggravated murder, under Article 173 paragraph 1 point 1.1 in conjunction with Article 28 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo, as well as for unauthorized possession of weapons, under Article 366 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
The case is related to the triple shooting that occurred yesterday in Decani, where three people were injured as a result of gunfire. The suspect was arrested a few hours after the incident, and it is known that he also had a previous criminal history.
The parties have the right to appeal this decision within 48 hours, through the Basic Court in Peja, to the Court of Appeal in Pristina. /Telegrafi/
