During the podcast "Health First", supported by United Hospital, oncologist Ilir Kurtishi, said that cancer is one of the most serious and widespread diseases globally, which knows no age or gender limits.

He emphasizes that this disease can appear in any organ of the body, without exception.

"The factors that can cause malignant diseases are numerous," explains Kurtishi, adding that "Among the most important are several viral and bacterial infections, alcohol abuse, poor-quality food - especially that rich in fat, salt and saturated hydrocarbons, as well as quickly processed foods."

He adds that lack of physical activity, uncontrolled exposure to sunlight, and failure to use protective equipment in the workplace are among the factors that significantly increase the risk of developing cancer.

"It is very important to maintain a healthy lifestyle, eat well, be physically active, and have regular medical checkups," the oncologist appeals.

"Cancer can be prevented and caught in its early stages, but only if we are aware and take care of our health."
