"On the field I am Albanian, in life I am Swiss", Xherdan Shaqiri talks about his mentality
Basel star Xherdan Shaqiri has recently shown that his character is a combination of Albanian and Swiss.
Shaqiri spoke to the 'blu Sport' medium about his difficult childhood, later luxury, popularity and his biggest dream: to win the trophy with Basel.
However, what interests us from this interview was his answer to the question of whether he has more Swiss or Albanian character.
"On the field, definitely the passionate Albanian – with emotions. However, in everyday life I am very Swiss: punctual, reliable."
"I think I combine both mentalities," Shaqiri told the Swiss media outlet.
Otherwise, Shaqiri is experiencing a perfect season with Basel, as he has 16 goals and 18 assists from 32 matches. /Telegraph/
