Officially, Memli Krasniqi resigns from the position of PDK chairman

Memli Krasniqi has resigned from the position of leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo.
Krasniqi announced this at a press conference, following a meeting of the PDK Presidency, reports Telegrafi.
"It has been an honor to lead the Democratic Party of Kosovo," he said, adding that together they have overcome many challenges.
Reflecting on the four-year period of his leadership, Krasniqi assessed that PDK has strengthened and grown significantly on the political scene, however, he emphasized that every major political organization needs renewal.
"A party that believes in development must also believe in renewal. A leadership that seeks change for Kosovo must have the courage to create space for change within itself. Therefore, I have decided to resign from the position of Chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo", Krasniqi emphasized.

He stressed that this decision is not related to any recent political development, but to the need to give the party "a new spirit and a new opportunity for the future."
"This decision is not of the moment nor of recent developments. It is a reflection on what PDK needs in the next phase. It is not a decision out of fatigue or disappointment – but out of love for my party. I do this with peace in my soul and love in my heart. Love for PDK. Love for Kosovo," he declared.
Chairman Krasniqi concluded his speech with gratitude to citizens, activists, collaborators and his family: "I leave the office of Chairman of PDK with peace, gratitude and pride. I have the deep conviction that PDK will remain in safe hands – in the hands of people who believe, who work and who unite. This is not a farewell – but only goodbye. Because this is my second home, my political home, the home of my lifelong pride." /Telegrafi/
