Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk has committed his future to the club by signing a new contract that will see him stay at Anfield beyond the 2024/25 season.
After Mohamed Salah, the Reds have also renewed the contract with the team's other star, Van Dijk.
Liverpool's announcement came via their official website, where they announced that the Dutch defender has signed for another two years.

"Virgil van Dijk has today signed a new contract with Liverpool FC to extend his time with the club beyond the 2024-25 season."
This new deal extends the Dutch defender's tenure with the Reds, marking almost seven and a half years since his arrival in January 2018.

Since joining from Southampton, Van Dijk has established himself as one of the best defenders in the world, contributing to seven major trophies, including the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and two League Cups.
