Official: Marcus Rashford joins Aston Villa

After many twists and turns along the way, England striker Marcus Rashford has left Manchester United.

Rashford joined Aston Villa from the Red Devils on loan until the end of the season.

The 27-year-old has been a key player for United since breaking into their first team, but in November last year, he said in an interview that he is ready for a new adventure.

He has not made an appearance for United since December 12, despite being fit for action.

Rashford has scored seven goals in 24 games in all competitions this season, despite a lack of minutes.

Rashford's loan spell temporarily ends his 20-year association with the club, during which time he has helped them win the Europa League, the FA Cup twice and the Carabao Cup twice.

The English star finished the 2022/2023 season as the team's top scorer with 30 goals, while counting 60 appearances for the English national team since making his debut in 2016.

He leaves United in 13th place in the table, to join Aston Villa who are currently in eighth place and competing in the Champions League./Telegraph/
