Office worker's mistake wins American woman $2 million in lottery

A Virginia woman won a $2 million lottery prize thanks to a mistake by a store employee who mistakenly gave her the wrong ticket.

Carrollton resident Kelly Lindsay told Virginia Lottery officials that she was initially unhappy when an employee at the Carrollton Race Way on Carrollton Boulevard gave her a “Money Blitz” scratch-off ticket instead of the one she wanted.

Lindsay took the ticket and scratched it in the parking lot, revealing the grand prize of two million dollars.

"And I got over the boredom of it," Lindsay said, writes upi.com.

She chose to receive her prize as a single payment, in the amount of $1,25 million, tax-free. /Telegraph/
