Not just Salah, Van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold: Five other Liverpool players could leave this summer

Liverpool are preparing for an important summer, with a squad overhaul in the transfer window, where many changes are expected.

The club's approach in recent years has been cautious, but this restriction looks set to be abandoned as key figures weigh up the future, with their demands deemed excessive.

Last summer's only signing was Federico Chiesa for a modest £10m, while January passed without any reinforcements - one of five Premier League clubs to refrain from signing players mid-season.

This conservative approach, especially in the face of huge spending by rivals, has fueled fan frustration, but it is Sky Sports that writes that the upcoming transfer window will be different.

With uncertainty surrounding the futures of Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold – all entering the final year of their contracts – Liverpool's squad could undergo major changes.

Journalist Florian Plettenberg reports that five players – Caoimhin Kelleher, Wataru Endo, Harvey Elliott, Federico Chiesa and Diogo Jota – are potential candidates to leave the club.

After two busy transfer windows, Liverpool's next moves will be crucial. The futures of these five players are under scrutiny, and with major contract situations to resolve, Anfield is set for a fascinating summer of transition. /Telegraph/
