MES: North Macedonia and Croatia deepen cooperation in education

Through the exchange of practices and positive experiences, Macedonia and Croatia will strengthen educational cooperation and advance some aspects of national educational systems. Special attention will be paid to professional education and training, work will be done for the connection and development of regional centers that promote and realize this type of education and for the establishment of educational centers for excellence.

This was discussed in today's meeting at the Croatian Ministry of Science, Education and Youth, where the delegation from North Macedonia, consisting of representatives of several educational institutions and UNDP, led by the State Secretary at the Ministry of Education, is on a working visit. , Elena Ivanovska.

"The aim is to formalize the cooperation foreseen in the bilateral program which the Ministers of Education of both countries signed in August of this year, while it is valid until 2028. Both parties will establish a joint commission which will periodically meet, develop and implement initiatives of interest to the countries. In addition to vocational secondary education, attention will be paid to the digitalization process and the introduction of artificial intelligence in educational programs", informs the Ministry of Education.


Cooperation is foreseen in the field of preschool education as well as primary education, especially in the field of simplifying the procedures for the compilation of textbooks and teaching materials.

The Croatian side was represented by the State Secretary for Science, Education and Youth, Zrinka Muzhinic Bikiq, the director of the Administration for Education and Training, Vesna Sherepac and heads of several sectors of both institutions.
