Digital Foundry has published information about the specifications of Nintendo's newest console.

The official website that Nintendo has created for the Switch 2 console does not provide many technical details and information about the device's hardware, reports Telegraph.

However, Digital Foundry has decided to dig deeper and has published a report and a video, presenting details about the Switch 2 console's features that they have been able to confirm.


The Switch 2 uses the 8x ARM Cortex A78C CPU architecture, with CPU operating frequencies of 998 MHz (in connected mode), 1101 MHz (in portable mode), and a maximum of 1.7 GHz.

The console uses the Ampere GPU architecture, with 1536 CUDA cores. The GPU's operating frequencies are 1007 MHz (in tethered mode), 561 MHz (in portable mode), and a maximum of 1.4 GHz.

The memory is 128-bit LPDDR5, with speeds of 102 GB/s (in connected mode) and 68 GB/s (in portable mode).

The total memory capacity is 12 GB, of which 3 GB are reserved for the system, while 9 GB are available for games. /Telegraph/
