The first call from the IPARD 3 Program is expected to be announced at the end of August. It will include measures 1 and 7, for investments in the basic assets of agricultural economies, as well as for investments in rural tourism, diversification of farms and support of micro-businesses.

The call will "weigh" over 20 million euros and will last 45 days, with an extension of two weeks.

Together with the last call IPARD 2 estimated at 8.8 million euros, which was announced on August 4, around 30 million euros will be made available to agriculture through IPARD alone.

"We are the first to launch IPARD 3, before any country in the region. All approvals for North Macedonia for the launch of IPARD 3 have been completed. Last Friday, the decision came from Brussels for a shortened procedure for the accreditation of measures 1, 3, 7 and 9. We have practically received re-accreditation for all existing measures from IPARD 2. This means that we are already entering the process, so I expect the first call from IPARD 3 to be by the end of August," says Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Ljupco Nikolovski.

According to him, the financial agreement that distributes the general funds according to measures and years is expected to be signed these days.

The total part of IPARD 3 co-financing will be 120 million euros, of which 97 million euros are non-refundable funds from the EU.

If IPARD 3 ends successfully, as Nikollovski points out, it will mean 250 million euros of investments in the agricultural sector./Telegrafi/
