New details emerge about the "glass" iPhone

Apple will celebrate the 2027th anniversary of the legendary iPhone in 20, and there has long been talk of the iPhone 19 Pro, which is expected to bring major changes to the design.

Bloomberg previously reported that a "large amount of glass" will be used in the production of the iPhone 19 Pro and that the device will have a curved design without a notch on the screen.

A new report from South Korea reveals more details about this mysterious device, which is expected to bring the biggest design changes since 2017's iPhone X.

Apple is reportedly in talks with Samsung Display and LG Display regarding bezel-less displays for the upcoming iPhone. The report mentions a “four-sided curved display,” where the edges are pushed to the sides of the device, creating the appearance of an all-glass phone when viewed from the front.

This concept closely resembles Xiaomi's prototype from 2021, which had no buttons or ports - exactly the kind of thing Apple has long been rumored to have.

The next iPhone is also said to have an under-display camera. This panel will use an improved OLED chip, developed on the 16nm FinFET process, which represents an improvement over the 28nm planar process used in current iPhone models.

Apple is also expected to use a solid-state battery with an all-silicon anode, which will significantly increase battery durability and longevity. /Telegraph/
