Netflix confirms second season of Meghan Markle documentary

Netflix has confirmed that Meghan Markle's new show, "With Love, Meghan," will return for a second season after its debut this week.

The eight-episode series, which focuses on her cooking, gardening and hospitality tips, was filmed on a California property and has attracted a lot of attention since its release.

In addition to her success on the streaming platform, Meghan has used the moment to launch her new brand, As Ever, introducing the first products, such as raspberry spread and decorative flower particles, writes BBC.

According to Netflix's official website, filming for the second season has already wrapped, and new episodes are expected to air in the fall.

The announcement came despite the mixed reviews the first season has received.

Some media outlets, such as The Guardian, described the program as a "show of an unpleasant lifestyle", while The Telegraph called it an "exercise in narcissism".

On the Rotten Tomatoes platform, the show has received a rating of only 33%.

However, the BBC took a more positive approach, describing the series as an "escapism and aspiration", a program that brings warmth to gray days.

On the show, Meghan prepares a range of recipes such as pasta, focaccia, frittata and baked fish, while sharing tips for table decoration and creating DIY gifts.

Among the guests in the first season were actress Mindy Kaling, chef Roy Choi and stylist Tracy Robbins.

In a video posted to Instagram, Meghan expressed her excitement for the show's return, writing: "If you liked season 1, wait to see what we have in store for season 2!" She thanked the team that helped make the project happen.

Originally, the first season was scheduled to air in January, but was postponed to March due to the fires in Los Angeles.

Despite the criticism, "With Love, Meghan" is continuing its journey on Netflix and it seems that the second season will bring even more new content to viewers. /Telegraph/
