Netanyahu agrees to join Gaza Peace Board

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Wednesday that he has agreed to join US President Donald Trump's Peace Council, following debates and criticism from his cabinet over the composition of the institution's executive committee. The decision follows a direct invitation from Trump, which Netanyahu has officially accepted, according to a statement from his office.
The Peace Board, led by Trump, was initially conceived as a small group of world leaders responsible for overseeing the ceasefire plan in the Gaza Strip, but according to experts, the US administration's ambitions appear to have expanded towards a broader diplomatic initiative, aiming to include decision-makers from different regions of the world to influence conflict resolution and promote international cooperation.
Other details and the full composition of the Board are expected to be announced during an announcement that Trump will make at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, where he is also expected to present the strategy and plans of this institution.
Meanwhile, in an effort to include Balkan countries, Kosovo and Albania have been invited to be part of the Board.
They will be represented by the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, and the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, demonstrating the commitment of these countries to dialogue and peace initiatives in the region.
This development marks an important step in international diplomacy, creating opportunities for direct dialogue between leaders of influential countries and for promoting peace and stability in different regions of the world. /Telegraph/
