A person was found dead in the early hours of the morning under the bridge known as "Fshati Fshat".

According to preliminary police information, it is suspected that the victim may have committed suicide during the night, reports euronews.al.

Immediately after receiving the notification, State Police forces arrived at the scene and are working to clarify the circumstances. A rescue team intervened to remove the body from the area where it was found.

Police are continuing investigations to fully identify the victim and clarify the causes of the incident. According to initial information, the victim is suspected to be Klodian Kulla, the son of Nehat Kulla's brother.

Nehat Kulla, who passed away in 2020 a year after being released from prison, was one of the most well-known figures in the underworld in the 90s and was known by the nickname "The General".

He led one of Tirana's most notorious gangs during the 1997 riots.

Kulla had finished serving his 20-year sentence in Fushë-Krujë prison for the 1998 murder of Halim Gjuzi, driver of former Interior Minister Halit Shamata.

The gang he led was formed during the 1997 riots, when he, his family and friends managed to keep the “genius” ward intact, one of the few that was not damaged during the attacks of that period. For a long time, he and his so-called “soldiers” controlled the ward, earning the nickname “The General”, a name that was also given to him by the residents of the area.

The investigation into the death of Klodian Kulla continues. Authorities are expected to provide more details in the coming hours.
