Nastov: Four patients from the fire in Kocani have been admitted to the Clinic for Surgical Diseases, three of whom have been released for the weekend

At the Clinic for Surgical Diseases "St. Naum of Ohrid" four patients from the fire in Kocani are currently hospitalized, of which only one patient is present in the hospital, while three have been released for the weekend, the director of the Clinic, Nebojsa Nastov, informed today.

He emphasized that their condition has improved significantly and that the three patients are expected to be discharged from the hospital at the beginning of next week.

"Four patients are currently formally admitted to the Clinic, of which only one patient is still present in the hospital, while three have been released for the weekend, which means that their condition has improved to the maximum. Final discharge is planned for three patients, sometime at the beginning of next week," said Nastovi.

Yesterday, he added, a patient returned from Belgrade and, after laboratory tests and examinations, was sent home today.

"The majority, or 99 percent, of those who have returned have been discharged home with regular scheduled check-ups, only one patient who returned from Serbia is still in the hospital and will have to extend her stay. All of them had burns of varying degrees, I can't say specifically, because they all have different percentages of burns. Most of them had so-called smoke inhalation injuries, so after the situation with the smoke inhalation injuries was resolved at the stage at which the treatment abroad had reached, check-ups were done and they were discharged for home treatment," Nastov said.
