Myocardial infarction in women, Fjolla Zhubi-Bakija shows the typical symptoms and signs that should not be neglected

During the podcast "Health First", supported by United HospitalFjolla Zhubi Bakijës, a specialist in Internal Medicine and Cardiology, said that the symptoms of a heart attack do not always appear in the same way and not every case is accompanied by classic chest pain.
Zhubi Bakija said that a heart attack most often presents with the typical symptom of chest pain, as he said "but not always."
"Typical pain is usually localized in the middle of the chest and can spread to the left arm, lower jaw, left cheek, back or shoulders. This pain has a squeezing character, worsens during physical activity and is usually relieved during rest, although in more advanced cases of coronary artery disease it can also occur at rest."
However, cardiology emphasizes that myocardial infarction does not always manifest with these typical symptoms.
Zhubi-Bakija said that myocardial infarction presents with the typical symptom of chest pain, especially in women and people with diabetes.
"They are more likely to present with extreme fatigue, cold sweats, difficulty breathing, dizziness or just a feeling that something is wrong," she says.
Zhubi Bakija advises that any new and unexplained symptoms, such as severe fatigue, difficulty breathing, or sudden sweating, should be taken seriously.
