Mustafa: Vjosa Osmani is not a Rugova supporter, if she were the leader of LDK she would not be voted as president

Isa Mustafa has stated that if he were the leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo, he would not have allowed his party's deputies to vote or enabled Vjosa Osmani to be president.
According to him, during the five years of her mandate, Osmani has not been neutral, but rather biased, siding with the government and the Vetëvendosje Movement.
In fact, in an interview with KosovaPress, he emphasizes that Osmani's behavior does not coincide with Rugova's ideology, as it has destroyed the LDK.
However, Mustafa states that if Osmani is nominated for president again, it is up to LDK MPs to analyze and not rush into any decision-making.
"After I was the president of the LDK, I never agreed for my deputies to stay in the hall or vote for Vjosa. Because Vjosa destroyed our party, and I had no reason for me to now reward the one who brought the LDK, when we made her, both the leader of the list in the campaign, and the candidate for prime minister, and the speaker of the Assembly. That speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo was made with, at my insistence... In the current situation, someone has to become president. Now if we say no to Vjosa, we have to know who else is. In the LDK, I think that the LDK should now analyze it there. We should not rush to say, I am making some kind of deal with you", emphasizes Mustafa.
He also accused Osmani of continuous violations of the Constitution, citing the case of the dismissal of the CEC chairwoman and the blocking of the Chief State Prosecutor.
"In the context of neutrality, it was absolutely not neutral. It was one-sided. In the context of the Constitution, there were problems with the Constitution, even when it dismissed the chairman of the CEC, because it dismissed him unconstitutionally, but the people did not sign it, the deputies of the Assembly, especially those of the LDK, they did not want to. Even when it blocked the chief state prosecutor. That is, in those two cases there are clear violations, but the Constitutional Court does not decide if someone does not open the case", he adds.
Speaking about the statements of LDK MP Uke Rugova, son of former president Ibrahim Rugova, that Osmani is a Rugovite, he says that her behavior does not coincide with Rugovism.
Mustafa emphasizes that the damaged and divided LDK only serves the creation of a one-party state in Kosovo.
"Ukë Rugova must first clarify what Rugovism is. Is Mrs. Osmani's behavior the behavior of Ibrahim Rugova? I can say no. I know Rugova.... Now if Ukë Rugova, Ibrahim Rugova's son, says he is a Rugovist, then why did Ukë Rugova's Rugovist destroy the LDK? Why? What was her reason for destroying the LDK and leading the LDK to VV, to a leftist, completely leftist party. To destroy political competition in Kosovo, because without the LDK there is no political competition in Kosovo. With the damaged, destroyed LDK, Kosovo has no competition. Kosovo already has a one-party state. Even if someone contributes to this one-party state in Kosovo, then what does it have to do with Ibrahim Rugova? Why are we abusing Ibrahim Rugova as a collaborator, as a chairman, as a president, or as a father? There is none, there is none "It makes no sense to behave like this, or to make our people bad in this world and say 'I am a Rugova supporter'. They come out and make the biggest noise, we say, which resembles nothing, and say 'I am a Rugova supporter of Ibrahim Rugova'. But how are you, Ibrahim Rugova? Ibrahim Rugova has never behaved like this," Mustafa declares.
According to him, if there is no consensus on the election of the president, the country should go to new elections. He states that if the LDK comes to its senses and has internal unity, it will very easily reach 20 deputies in the Assembly.
"Yes, I believe that if the LDK becomes a little more clear-headed, and if it becomes a little more clear-headed, and if the LDK creates an internal unity of functioning, and if the LDK, now I am quoting Abdixhiku, clearly reads and clearly understands the voice of the citizens, and if the LDK reflects on the voice of the citizens, then I believe that the LDK can also make 20 deputies in these elections without any strings attached, it takes them out. It does so because it is important to send clear messages on the ground, because the votes are not made by the LDK Assembly, nor the LDK Presidency, nor the LDK General Council...
No, no, I can say, I can say even 50 that it does, or even 30 that it does. But I think it can't be done quickly, because it has been damaged a lot, but it is important that the positive trend starts, that it goes up. Because I can say it does 25, it can do 30. But I speak like that, that is, I don't want to lie to the public, I speak like I think it can grow, that is, this is a way of growth. If it grows by five, now it grows by 10 in the next elections, then LDK has done its job", emphasizes Mustafa.
Mustafa declares that he has no ambitions to be president of the country, even if he is proposed as a name by the LDK for this position.
He states that he now has health problems, mentioning the challenges he faced as prime minister, when, as he says, he was faced with tear gas and gas bombs, and even a house being burned down.
"No, I have, I have finished, let's say, my political career. First of all, I have no ambition to see or think or dream of state positions now. I also have health problems that I cannot cope with. Those problems, now I did not want to remain the leader of the LDK for the last few years, or now I say, "Well, I am..." Yes, I do not have a problem with my head, I do not have a problem with thinking, I do not have a problem with analysis... Yes, but I do have a problem with, with the other disease that I have originally, I have an issue, that is, that it was created by a great pressure that I had while I was the prime minister of this country, that I mostly governed with tear gas, with bombs, with gas canisters, with, that is, with acts of rape of my house, and the burning of the house, and all of that is expressed now. I and the man cannot imagine myself once again entering in that dance with such people who have never received, have not received either punishments or deserved criticism for it," Mustafa emphasizes.
