Besian Mustafa from the Democratic League of Kosovo, during an appearance on the Debat Plus show, stated that the LDK's voting for Hashim Thaçi for president was, according to him, a big mistake.

"What resulted with Hashim Thaçi was a gross mistake for the LDK when it voted for him and this is my personal opinion that it was a mistake then and the LDK should be aware of all the actions," Mustafa said.

He emphasized that achieving a broad consensus among political parties is essential for the election of the president.

"What is important in electing a president is to have consensus among political parties," he declared.

Mustafa added that staying in the hall or voting against, in the case of electing the president, produces the same effect.

"So, it creates the quorum, whether you voted or not, it creates the quorum, the result is the same - the president is elected or not elected," he said.

Finally, Mustafa emphasized that inter-party consensus is necessary even if Prime Minister Albin Kurti aims to re-elect Vjosa Osmani as president, underlining that such a thing requires agreement with other political parties.
