Murtezani: Messages have come from the Bulgarian side that they are ready for dialogue

Bulgaria's representative in the EU Enlargement Working Group told me that the Bulgarian side is ready for talks and is sending positive messages for establishing dialogue, said Minister of European Affairs Orhan Murtezani, who is on a two-day working visit to Brussels, reports Telegraph Macedonia.

"I think a good environment is being created, which we should use not only to establish a dialogue, which should exist between neighboring countries to build good neighborly relations, but also a space that will lead us towards a mutually acceptable solution, which will ultimately bring us to the EU," Murtezani emphasized to AIM.

Yesterday and today, Murtezani had meetings with the President of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), Oliver Roepke, the Director-General of the Directorate-General for Enlargement and Eastern Neighbourhood (DG ENEST), Geert Jan Kopman, the Executive Director for Europe at the European External Action Service (EEAS), as well as with the Croatian, Mati Masikaurs, Tijs Reuthen and Matej Tonin.

In these meetings, according to Murtezani, the dynamics of the implementation of reforms in general and especially those that are part of the Reform Agenda within the framework of the European Commission's Growth Plan for the Western Balkans were discussed.

"I took the opportunity to also discuss our integration process. We are fully aware of the obstacles that stand in our way and that prevent us from opening negotiations to become a full member of the European Union, just as we are fully aware of the moment that dictates that we must quickly find a solution to move forward in this final part of the 20-year marathon," said Murtezani.

In these meetings, says Murtezani, the implementation of reforms in the country was also discussed, especially those that are part of the Reform Agenda within the framework of the European Commission's Growth Plan for the Western Balkans. /Telegraph/
