A person was shot and killed on Wednesday afternoon, and two people (father and son) have been arrested in connection with the case.

The Kosovo Police's 24-hour report states that the incident occurred on Wednesday at around 13:45 PM in Skenderaj.

The report further states that several weapons were seized.


"A Kosovar male was shot with a firearm and as a result lost his life. The victim's death was confirmed by the medical team at the scene. Two Kosovar male suspects (father and son) were arrested in connection with the case and from them were seized: an AK47 weapon, three short weapons (pistols) and 53 cartridges of different calibers," the report states.

As stated in the report, by decision of the prosecutor, the body was sent to the IML for an autopsy, while the suspects were taken into custody.

Meanwhile, the Basic Prosecution Office of Mitrovica announced that the two suspects in this case have been identified and that initially the suspects were on the run.

"The prosecutor of the case from the Serious Crimes Department immediately went to the scene where it was found that one person had been killed. The case has been classified as 'serious murder' and two suspects have been identified...", said the spokesperson for the Basic Prosecution of Mitrovica, Valon Preteni. /Telegraph/
