Tërnava: Great injustice that Hashim Thaçi was not able to give his father his last farewell

A large number of citizens were in the village of Burojë to bid farewell to the father of former president Hashim Thaçi, Haxhi Thaçi.

His funeral was attended by well-known political figures. However, Haxhi Thaçi's son, Hashim Thaçi, was absent from the ceremony today, as he was not allowed by the Special Police to attend the funeral ceremony.

However, from The Hague, Thaçi sent a message with a wreath of flowers.

"I said goodbye to you in the hospital, dad. From The Hague I say goodbye to you in heaven!", the message reads.

Meanwhile, the mufti of Kosovo, Naim Tërnava, said that the family should be proud of their relative, as today they have come from all over Albanian lands to honor him.

"On this occasion, we express our regret for the great injustices that are being done to our liberators, that unfortunately today his son, the former president, is also present at his father's last funeral, however, we are seeing that all of us from Albanian lands have gathered to pay our respects to our grandfather Haxhiu."

"We are proud to belong to this land, we are proud to belong to this nation, we are proud of our continuous efforts that we have made for the liberation and independence of our country," he said.
