More than 136 thousand cheaters in Black Ops 6 and Warzone

The Ricochet Anti-Cheat Team, which oversees the Call of Duty video game community, has published a report detailing the fight against cheaters in the video games "Black Ops 6" and "Warzone", as well as plans for improving the integrity of the video game during 2025.

The report highlights new layers of security, advanced detection systems, and significant advances in blocking cheaters to improve the gaming experience for honest players.

The Ricochet team underlined its commitment to protecting the competitive integrity of video games.

Since the launch of Ranked Play, more than 136 accounts have been banned for cheating in Black Ops 6 Multiplayer and Warzone, demonstrating the team's aggressive approach to cheating.

Improved detection models are focused on identifying scammers using “aim bots” and other prohibited tools. The team analyzes data such as account trust levels and hardware device identifiers to effectively detect repeat scammers.

To speed up action against cheaters, the team has advanced tools that reduce the time needed for verification. New systems are now active and can identify and warn about false reports. False reporting is a violation of the game's safety and usage rules, according to the team.

The system does not take into account more than one report for the same player and also addresses the problems of misinformation spread by cheat developers.

Another system flags accounts that collaborate with known fraudsters. When a fraudster is blocked, the system identifies and investigates related accounts to combat illegal behavior.

In response to questions from the community, Ricochet clarified its reasons for not using IP-based blocking.

"IP-based blocking tends to penalize an entire group of innocent players," they explained, citing examples like campuses or internet cafes, where just one computer could be problematic.

New anti-cheat systems have also been announced, which will be introduced early this year during Season 2, which starts on January 28th.

As part of the long-term plan, Ricochet is introducing new technologies to authenticate honest players while targeting cheaters. Details about these technologies are being kept under wraps to discourage cheat developers, but the team promised more information in the future. /Telegraph/
