Misajlovski at the REAIM summit: Joint readiness to advance Macedonian-Spanish defense cooperation confirmed

Minister of Defense, Vlado Misajlovski, today participated in the opening of the third Global Summit on Artificial Intelligence in Defense - REAIM, which is being held in A Coruña, Kingdom of Spain.
The event is organized at the invitation of the Spanish Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles Fernandez.
The summit, attended by ministers, state representatives from UN member states, the academic community and international organizations, discusses the responsible development of artificial intelligence in a military context and the importance of respecting human rights and international law.
As part of the event, as announced by the Ministry of Defense, Misajlovski held a bilateral meeting with Minister Robles, in which the joint readiness to advance defense cooperation between the two countries was confirmed.
The two ministers discussed more possible joint activities and the preparation of a new Cooperation Plan.
Minister Misajlovski emphasized that the rapid development of defense technology requires strong cooperation between allies to ensure security and stability. According to him, the invitation to REAIM is an additional confirmation of the excellent bilateral relations with Spain.
In his statement, Misajlovski recalled that in November 2024, North Macedonia was the first candidate country from the Western Balkans to sign the Security and Defense Partnership with the European Union, emphasizing that the country will continue to make a strong contribution to regional and collective security.
