Renowned Albanian footballer, Mirlind Daku, has lost one of the most beloved people in his family.
Through a Facebook post, he announced that his uncle had passed away.
Through touching words, Daku declared that his uncle will forever live in his heart:
"Rest in peace, dear uncle. You were not just my uncle — you were the man who gave me my name and part of my identity. From today on, the name I bear will always be a living reminder of the love, pride, and respect you had for me," Daku wrote.
"You will always live in my heart and in every step I take. May God have mercy on you and reward you with Paradise," the footballer emphasized.
Along with the touching words, Daku also posted a photo with his uncle.
