The Albanian known for his anti-Albanian stances, who has been appointed Minister for Human and Minority Rights in the Government of Serbia, Demo Berisha, in an interview for a Serbian television station, stated that he sees two of the three Albanian municipalities of the Presevo Valley as problematic.
While he says that in the municipality of Medvedja, where the number of Albanians has drastically decreased, interethnic relations have been regulated, he demands that the same be done in Presevo and Bujanovac, reducing the number of Albanians.
The former chairman of the Albanian National Council, Ragmi Mustafi, publishing part of the minister's interview with the Serbian Government, says that "this minister wants Presheva and Bujanovac without Albanians, 'ethnically cleansed by administrative means' as the Helsinki Committee in Belgrade called the 'passivation of addresses'. And that, in the name of regulating interethnic relations!
He even says that Bujanovac is on the "right path to completion"!?
"So, this is what the minister/godfather of the coalition is saying to the 1:1 divided local government in Bujanovac," Mustafi wrote, according to Telegrafi.
When asked by the journalist whether Bujanovac and Presheva will be important tasks...?
Minister Berisha responds that out of the three municipalities in the Valley, two are problematic.
"One of the main issues, one of the priorities will be addressing the problems that are currently urgent in southern Serbia (Presevo Valley), specifically in three municipalities. Two are interesting, interesting with problems, while the third is less interesting. I am referring to Medvedja, Medvedja is a municipality that has regulated interethnic relations. What we will do is the same in Presevo, because I say in Bujanovac it is on the right track towards completion," he said, alluding to the reduction of the Albanian population in those two municipalities.
Some time ago, Albanian MP in the Serbian Parliament, Shaip Kamberi, said that Demo Berisha's proposal for the position of Minister for Human and Minority Rights is a serious blow to every Albanian who has suffered, resisted and sacrificed for their rights in Serbia.
According to him, this appointment is not only politically unacceptable, but also morally shameful, because Demo Berisha is not a representative of human rights, but a symbol of the denial of the national and political identity of the Albanians of Kosovo and the Presevo Valley. /Telegraph/
