OBRM-PDUKM MP Antonio Milososki stated that Macedonia and Great Britain have signed an agreement on investments, cooperation and projects, emphasizing that the topic of migrants is being used as political manipulation by the leader of SDSM, Venko Filipce.

"Macedonia and Great Britain have signed agreements on investments and projects. The topic involving migrants has never been raised. This is an easy topic to manipulate, and I believe that for Filipce this topic has a double role. As the leader of SDSM, he is faced with 'party migrants' who are leaving for other political options, because they see that SDSM is losing the influence it once had. Therefore, they advise him to use this topic for cover," said Milososki.

He added that, unlike SDSM, no senior OBRM-PDUKM official has made similar statements as former SDSM activist Mersiha Smailović. He further emphasized that the number of people who have received asylum status in Macedonia is only 14 – 9 from Kosovo, 3 from Congo and 2 from Syria.

"The same figure is also among the members of the SDSM Executive Board who resigned at Filipce's request - 14. Perhaps this coincidence is a coincidence, but it speaks volumes about the situation in SDSM," said Milososki.

The MP emphasized that citizens should be calm, because so far no official request has been received in Macedonia regarding the acceptance of migrants and, according to him, any such request would be categorically rejected.

"There is no request from Britain for migrants, and even if it came, it would be rejected. The topic of migrants is a political manipulation, which Filipce uses to cover up the weaknesses of his party – the lack of ideas, the lack of cadres and the lack of people for public debate. He is forced to cling to this topic until February or March," Milososki said.

According to him, this is an attempt by SDSM to camouflage the internal crisis and "party vacuum" it is facing.
