Michelle Obama revealed in a new episode of her podcast that she got 10 new ear piercings at once.
She spoke to her brother, Craig Robinson, about the decision. They discussed the things they had learned about each other since starting the podcast.
"What I learned is that you tried to pierce your ears and you thought I didn't notice, and I see you've got all these new piercings in your ears," Robinson said.
Michelle responded by saying she thought her brother hadn't noticed anything.
"I've always thought about getting a few more piercings in my ears, but I've never gotten around to it. Young people are getting a lot of piercings now, it's just more of a pretty decoration," she said.
Then Robinson asked how many there were and Michelle stated that she intended to make some.
"As I was sitting there, I was telling the person who was doing piercings to add more. I made 10 piercings in a single session," she said.
Also, late last year, Michelle spoke to People magazine about her new book and how her physical appearance was perceived and criticized while she was America's first lady. She spoke about her newfound freedom to wear whatever she wanted, including her favorite hairstyle, braids.
"Braids allow me to not think about my hairstyle when I do them. When I'm not in public, I swim, play tennis, and braids represent a kind of freedom for me," she stated. /Telegraph/
