Liridon Masurcia from Gjilan has been extradited from Kosovo to the United States of America, suspected of online fraud and identity theft.
Masurica is suspected of being among the main administrators of the "BlackDB.cc" online criminal marketplace.
The acting Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, reacted to this.
"The extradition of a highly wanted person for cybercrimes is concrete evidence of the unwavering commitment to the rule of law without exception and without compromise. This action is a major step forward in building trust in justice and strengthening international cooperation with the United States of America," said Haxhiu.
The acting minister further said that this is just one result of the steps we are taking to prove that Kosovo is a place where crime finds no refuge.
According to the announcement from the United States Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Florida, if convicted of all charges, Masurica could face a maximum sentence of 55 years in prison. /Telegraph/
