Met with Marko Djuric, Spahiu: We have known each other for more than 10 years - we discussed the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue

Analyst Nexhmedin Spahiu has recently been the target of much criticism as a result of a meeting he held on Saturday with Serbian Minister Marko Djuric in Belgrade.

It was Spahiu himself who published photos from this meeting.

"With Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric, in his office in Belgrade," Spahiu wrote.

The same in a statement for Tëvë1 has explained the reasons for this meeting. Spahiu stated that he and the Serbian minister have known each other for more than 10 years and that during the meeting they discussed the problems that exist in the Balkan region, and the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.

"I have known the minister for more than 10 years, we communicate, I am at a conference here in Belgrade and he found out that I am here and invited me to a meeting. We stayed and talked for about an hour about the challenges in the region, about the problems that exist in the Balkan region, about the dialogue on Kosovo-Serbia relations, about interethnic relations. I wear the Kosovo flag on my jacket, this is both when I am in Belgrade and in any other place, this is natural", declared Spahiu.

Meanwhile, Serbian Minister Marko Djuric also wrote on the "X" network about the meeting he had with Kosovar analyst Nexhmedin Spahiu.

"A conversation with Professor Nexhmedin Spahiu on ways to overcome tensions and improve interethnic relations," wrote Gjuric. /Telegrafi/
