Unprecedented exodus at Old Trafford: Manchester United puts all players up for sale

Manchester United have made all of their squad available for sale following last night's defeat in the Europa League final, according to English media.

They not only missed out on a major trophy, but also Champions League qualification, with the Red Devils set to miss out on European football next season.

The defeat has left Man United in a difficult financial situation ahead of the summer, which will mark Ruben Amorim's first pre-season since his appointment as manager last November.

The club's hierarchy, which includes names such as Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Omar Berrada, hoped to earn €100m from qualifying for the Champions League.

Without a Champions League place, Man United could be forced to take drastic action.

According to the Mirror, Man United will "listen to offers for any player" after the disappointment in the Europa League final.

No player will be "immune from sale", meaning club captain Bruno Fernandes could be sold this summer to solve the club's "catastrophic financial black hole".

Fernandes has been strongly linked with a move away from Old Trafford.

Saudi Professional League team Al Hilal has contacted the player's camp regarding a transfer.

They are prepared to break the British transfer record and pay him close to €200 million for a three-year contract.

Speaking after Man United's defeat in Bilbao, Fernandes offered to leave Old Trafford if they wanted to take advantage of him.Telegraph/
