Manchester City are planning major reinforcements ahead of the 2025 Club World Cup, according to reports from the Mirror.

Pep Guardiola's side are interested in Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz, as well as Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders.

City are willing to pay over £100m for Wirtz, even though he is being chased by Bayern Munich and Liverpool.

To convince Leverkusen, City could also include James McAtee in the deal as part of the swap deal.

Meanwhile, for Reijnders, the English club has been informed that they will have to pay over £55 million to get him from Milan.

Both players have been identified as key reinforcements for next season and international competitions.

Wirtz, with 16 goals and 15 assists in the 2024/25 season, is seen as a potential successor to Kevin De Bruyne at City. /Telegraph/
