ASH: Macedonia was not invited to the "Peace Board", an indicator of the lack of diplomacy and political weight in global initiatives

The Alliance for Albanians expresses its concern over the fact that North Macedonia has not been included in the international "Peace Board" initiative, initiated by US President Donald Trump, where participating countries in the Balkan region have already been determined.
The ASH says that this exclusion cannot be a coincidence, reflecting the lack of political weight of the current Government.
"The fact that Kosovo, Albania, Bulgaria and Turkey have been invited to be part of this platform, while North Macedonia is listed on the list of countries that have not even been invited, constitutes a serious alarm signal for the international position and diplomatic credibility of our state. This exclusion cannot be seen as a coincidence. It clearly reflects the lack of political weight and diplomatic influence of the current government on the international stage, as well as the failure to position North Macedonia as a factor of stability and a reliable partner in regional and global security initiatives," the ASH statement said.
The Alliance for Albanians demands urgent clarification from the Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as to why North Macedonia has not been invited to this initiative?
"Has there been official communication and diplomatic efforts for inclusion, and what could be the political and strategic consequences of this exclusion for the country? At a time when the "Board of Peace" aims to build a platform for political and security cooperation, the exclusion of North Macedonia - along with several other Western Balkan countries - is being widely read as a clear geopolitical message about the peripheral role our country is being pushed into. The Alliance for Albanians assesses that North Macedonia has the capacities, experience and responsibility to be part of any serious mechanism for peace and security in the region. But this requires active diplomacy, clear foreign policy and credible governance - not improvisations, silence and isolation. We will continue to demand transparency, institutional responsibility and a clear Euro-Atlantic orientation that guarantees that North Macedonia will not be left out of important international processes," say the ASH.
