Ministry of Health on the death of a two-year-old child in Skopje: The destruction of brain tissue did not allow surgical treatment

The Ministry of Health today provided details regarding the death of a two-year-old child in Skopje, writes Telegraph Macedonia.
"The child was admitted to the Emergency Center and, due to his serious health condition, was transferred for treatment to the Neurosurgery Clinic, in the intensive care unit.
He was intubated, placed on mechanical ventilation, administered antibiotic and anti-edema therapy, and was under 24-hour continuous monitoring. The extent of brain tissue damage did not allow surgical intervention. Despite the maximum efforts of the medical team, the outcome was tragic.
We express our deepest and most sincere condolences to the family and relatives in these extremely difficult moments.
"Once again, we appeal to all citizens to celebrate the New Year's holidays in a peaceful and dignified manner, without the use of pyrotechnics, fireworks, and especially without the use of firearms. The consequences of such irresponsible behavior are serious and, unfortunately, can even be fatal," the Ministry of Health says. /Telegrafi/
