In the period from 01.11.2025-16.11.2025, as a result of regular traffic controls carried out by police officers from all internal affairs sectors on the country's roads, out of a total of 10.210 payment orders issued, 2.983 violations belong to drivers who did not respect the speed limit.
55 people have been arrested for reckless driving under Article 297-a of the Criminal Code, of which 37 for driving under the influence of alcohol, one for driving in a prohibited direction, 11 for driving at a speed greater than the permitted speed in a residential area, six for driving at a speed greater than the permitted speed outside a residential area.
Furthermore, according to the statistical review of police activities, during the month of November so far, 2.717 violations for illegal parking have been registered, 1.039 measures have been imposed on drivers who have driven without a driving license, as well as 300 sanctions for driving under the influence of alcohol.
On the other hand, according to the provisions of the Law on Road Traffic Safety, 42 motorcycle drivers were sanctioned for not wearing a protective helmet, as well as 282 pedestrians and four drivers of electric scooters. Also, 546 traffic participants were sanctioned for not using seat belts. According to the Law on Vehicles, 252 vehicles were removed from traffic because they were not registered, and 55 due to technical defects. 52 drivers were also sanctioned for not meeting certain conditions regarding tinted windows.
From there, they call on all traffic participants to respect traffic rules and regulations and together contribute to safer roads.
