MUP files criminal complaint against former minister Oliver Spasovski

The Ministry of Internal Affairs announces that the Department for the Suppression of Organized Crime has filed a criminal complaint against former Minister of Internal Affairs, Oliver Spasovski.
As the Ministry of Internal Affairs says, while he was in office as Minister of Internal Affairs, namely during 2021, by using his authorization, he enabled a legal entity for technical control in the Municipality of Saraj to acquire illegal assets worth 5.565.927 denars.
"The OS committed the crime by not issuing a decision to revoke the authorization for technical inspection within the deadline set by law, based on a proposal submitted by an organizational unit competent for civil matters. Even though he knew that the deadline for issuing the decision to revoke the authorization was no later than 15 days from the date of filing the case, he did not perform his official duty in accordance with Article 65, paragraph 3 of the Law on Vehicles and Article 5 of the Regulation on the manner and procedure for issuing and revoking the decision to authorize a legal entity for technical inspection of vehicles and for the categories of vehicles for which the authorization for technical inspection is issued," the MIA says.
