MUP: 91-year-old woman from Skopje has fallen prey to fraud, 300 thousand denars were taken from her
On 07.02.2025, at 15:00, at SPB Skopje, a 91-year-old woman from Skopje reported that she was defrauded by a person for the amount of 300.000 denars.
According to the report, the person contacted her by phone, introduced himself as a police officer, and told her that her nephew and his wife had caused a car accident, hitting a child, and that if she did not want them to end up in prison, she had to pay a sum of money.
As reported, the elderly woman left the money in the designated place, but later, after contacting her young daughter, she realized that she had been deceived.
Measures are being taken to clarify the case.
