A 74-year-old man from Shtip killed a 79-year-old woman and then buried her in the yard of the house, which he had previously forcibly kept in a house.

As the police report, the woman was initially reported missing by her brother, and on 10.11.2025, by court order, a raid was conducted on the 74-year-old's home, where several items were seized and traces of blood were found.

The 74-year-old was arrested, where he later confessed to the murder.

“SPB Stip, in cooperation with the Criminal Police Department at the BJB, has filed a criminal complaint against DA (74) from Stip on suspicion of committing the criminal offenses of “murder” under Article 123 and “illegal deprivation of liberty” under Article 140 of the Criminal Code. He is suspected of having held BN (79) from Stip against her will in his house in Stip, and then with a sharp instrument inflicted stab wounds from which she died, and then buried her body in the yard. Specifically, on 24.10.2025, DO (84) from Stip reported to SPB Stip that her sister, BN, had disappeared without a trace from the house. After investigative measures and due to the suspicion that he had held her illegally in his house, on 10.11.2025, with a court order, a search was carried out in his house, where were found and seized several items and traces of blood. After the raid, DA was arrested and ordered to be detained for 96 hours, being sent to the Kumanovo Prison Institution. After further investigative actions and expertise of the traces and seized items, SPB Stip conducted another interview with DA, where he explained in detail how he committed the murder. The body was found and, by order of the public prosecutor, was sent for autopsy. DA appeared before the pre-trial judge, who ordered a 30-day detention measure,” the police statement said.
