The Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Public Security of the Assembly of Kosovo, Bekë Berisha, who a few days ago raised the concern of negative phenomena in the region of Peja, including usury, criminality and domestic violence, visited the Regional Police Directorate in Peja.
MP Bekë Berisha, who was accompanied by MP Hisen Berisha, met with the Regional Director of Police, Colonel Shaban Shala and his associates.
The Information Office of the Regional Police of Peja also announced the visit, emphasizing that during the meeting challenges and plans related to security issues were discussed.
"In the premises of the Regional Police Directorate in Pejë, the Director of the Regional Police Directorate in Pejë, Colonel Shaban Shala and his colleagues received the chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Public Security, Mr. Bekő Berisha with associates. In this working meeting, it was discussed about general security issues in the Peja Region, challenges and plans for the future related to security issues", they said in the police announcement.
Meanwhile, MP Beka Berisha said that during the meeting they were informed about the security situation in the region of Peja.

"As the chairman of the Committee for Security and Defense Affairs, together with the member of the Committee, Hisen Berisha and the support staff, we made a working visit to the Regional Police Directorate in Peja. In this meeting, we were welcomed by Director Colonel Shaban Shala and his colleagues, during this visit we were closely informed about the security situation in this region and the work of the Kosovo police. The key topics of discussion were police infrastructure, service conditions, salaries, welfare, essential shortages and traffic safety. In addition to these, we also discussed cases of domestic violence, our commitment to preventing and fighting crime in this area, I thanked the police officers and staff for their professionalism, integrity and dedication to their duty to provide our citizens with a livelihood as calm and safe as possible,' says Berisha", MP Beka expressed.
