"MLS is worse than the Arab League" - Ronaldo talks about the difference in the championship Messi plays in
Cristiano Ronaldo has apparently made another comparison to Barcelona legend Lionel Messi, slamming the quality of Major League Soccer (MLS).
In an interview with El Chiringuito, he stated that MLS is worse than the Arab League.
"MLS is worse than the Arab League. Of course. But people don't know that, it's normal."
"Going to Arabia wasn't the same idea as playing in Europe, but it didn't stop me from sleeping. I knew what the league was like here. It was a different direction in my life and I really like it," the Portuguese said.
This appears to be a blow to Inter Miami who play in MLS and Messi is currently enjoying his time in the US.
Ronaldo has been enjoying himself in Saudi Arabia since joining Al-Nassr in 2023, scoring 64 goals in as many matches. /Telegraph/
