London man visits 42 museums in 24 hours to break world record

A London man took a tour of his hometown and broke a Guinness World Record by visiting 42 museums in 24 hours.

Ben Melham, 42, said his children, Matilde and Henrik, inspired him to attempt the record for the most visited museums in 24 hours, foreign media write, reports Telegraph.

"This record started as a conversation with my children about how difficult it could be to break a world record while we were reading their Guinness World Records book together," he told Guinness World Records.

Melham's children joined him on some of his visits to the museum during his endeavor.

He said that London is an ideal city for such a project. /Telegraph/
