Liverpool fans demand the player be sold after Newcastle's draw

Liverpool fans have called for the club to sell a player after their 3-3 draw against Newcastle United.

On Wednesday night, Liverpool had the chance to maintain their nine-point lead at the top of the Premier League with a win against Newcastle in St. James' Park.

However, Newcastle found themselves in front after Alexander Isak's stunning finish in the 35th minute.

Arne Slot's men equalized in the 50th minute before Anthony Gordon restored the lead for the Magpies with 62 minutes played.

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah then scored twice in the 68th and 83rd minutes.

However, Fabian Schar had the last laugh as he scored to make it 3-3 in the 90th minute.

During the match, Liverpool fans were left furious with the performance of Darwin Nunez and have asked the club to sign Isak as a substitute.

On social media, one fan said: "Sell Nunez, buy Isaac".

Another wrote on X: “No one can ever convince me that Darvin Nunez is good enough to play for us!! Isak, on the other hand, yes."

A third fan added: "Liverpool won't win the title with Darwin Nunez, he's been terrible! Just compare him to Isak, the difference is huge." /Telegraph/
