Liverpool departures in spate – three stars set to bid farewell to club in summer

Liverpool are sitting pretty well at the top of the Premier League, but Arne Slot's side could experience a string of departures in the summer, as three players are expected to leave the club.

The 'Reds' are continuing their steady progress towards becoming champions of the English football elite in Arne Slot's first season as their coach, as they currently have six points more than second-placed Arsenal.

Liverpool made just one transfer during the summer transfer window, bringing in Federico Chiesa from Juventus for €10 million.

They didn't strengthen during the January transfer window this year either, so apart from Chiesa it's the same team they inherited from Klopp before he left.

There are likely to be changes within the squad in the summer and a new report has suggested that three key players could leave as part of a major overhaul at Liverpool.

According to Anfield Watch, strikers Diogo Jota, Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz could leave Liverpool within a few months.

The report adds that both Nunez and Diaz will be targets for the Saudi Super League, with both having three and two years left on their contracts respectively.

Portuguese international Jota will also enter the final two years of his contract this summer and there are major doubts over his future due to frequent injuries./Telegraph/
