The father of famous American actress Lindsay Lohan, Michael Lohan (64), was sentenced to nine months in prison for violating the terms of a previously imposed probation sentence.

A former Wall Street broker has been charged with accepting bribes in exchange for directing addicts to several rehabilitation centers in Florida.

According to the indictment, Lohan received at least $25,000 (about 22,000 euros) to send drug addicts to a specific treatment center. Among these people was a woman with whom, according to the prosecution, he was in a romantic relationship at the time.

In 2022, Lohan was found guilty in court of brokering patient referrals, for which she was sentenced to four years of probation.

However, in February of this year, he violated the terms of his suspended sentence when he was arrested on suspicion of physically assaulting his wife, journalist Kate Major (42 years old), with whom he was no longer living at the time.

Kate Major, with whom Lohan has two sons, Landon and Logan, reported the incident to the police after he accompanied her to the doctor's appointment.

According to police reports, Major was found with visible bruises that he allegedly suffered a few days earlier when Lohan allegedly threw him from a chair. /Telegraph/
