Leonardo DiCaprio is heavily criticized for fleeing Los Angeles on a private jet

Leonardo DiCaprio has been criticized for fleeing to Mexico on a private jet after the devastating fires in Los Angeles, having previously warned about the harmful impact of airplanes on climate change.

The Oscar winner was criticized online for capitalizing on his status and leaving Los Angeles on a private jet, despite his reputation as a "climate change warrior."

DiCaprio and his girlfriend Vittoria Ceretti were spotted arriving in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico last Friday from Los Angeles, along with the actor's father, George DiCaprio, and his wife, Peggy Ann Farrar.

Some of DiCaprio's co-stars, like Paris Hilton, Miles Teller, Adam Brody and Leighton Meester, lost their homes, while he was mocked online for his choice of transportation to get out of it all.

DiCaprio has been accused of being a hypocrite for using private jets, which are a major source of carbon emissions that contribute to climate change.
