Rafael Leao is no longer part of the Portugal national team's squad for the next match against Hungary, which takes place on Tuesday as part of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

According to reports, the AC Milan winger has left the training camp following the decision of coach Roberto Martinez.

Leao did not take part in Sunday's training session due to "poor form", a condition that has raised concerns among the technical staff.

It is learned that coach Martinez was unhappy with his performance in the match against Ireland, where Leao was activated in the 61st minute, but failed to make a difference.

Leao's poor form has also been reflected at his club, AC Milan, where he has yet to play a full match this season.

In the last two matches with the "red and black", he has come on as a substitute in the second half.

Portugal are currently in the eighth round of qualifying and will be looking for their next three points against Hungary. /Telegraph/
