On the evening of January 6, Dukagjini Bookstore officially opened the cycle of cultural events for 2026 with the first promotion of this year: the newest book by internationally renowned author Lea Ypi, "Indignity".
The event was accompanied by a packed hall, curiosity and intellectual reflection. In the panel, alongside the author, was Arlinda Dudaj, director of Dudaj Publishing, who spoke about the book, the process of publishing in Albanian and the great reception that the work has had in Kosovo and Albania. She emphasized that the Albanian edition comes in a rewritten and revised version by the author herself.
Lea Ypi shared with the public the background of writing a personal book, where history and literature, memory and dignity, individual experience and its transformation into a universal experience through storytelling are intertwined.
The discussion was followed by questions from the audience, and even after the official end of the panel, the author stayed to sign books and meet with readers in person.
The event closed in a more relaxed atmosphere with a cocktail offered by the Dukagjini Bookstore, which thanks all participants for such a significant start to 2026.
